2026 Lenten Project: Continuing to Grow in Faith and Farming
St. Eugene has been twinning with a parish, Our Lady Queen of Apostles in Nkokonjeru, Uganda for 24 years. Each Lent we raise money to support our Sister Parish. This year, we will be helping to further their agriculture projects so they can generate income. Parishioners from our Sister Parish will start a single agriculture project such as raising chickens or pigs, grow maize, coffee, bananas, or other crops. Mentors will come to the parishioners' home to teach them how to start the project.
GOD IS GOOD! ALL THE TIME!
Jenny Kopetsky, Twinning Chair
In 2002, St Eugene began a Twinning Relationship with Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish in in Nkokonjeru, Uganda and for the past 15 years, we have assisted them with sustainable agriculture programs.
The relationship with our Sister Parish isn't just about donating money, it is about sustaining the friendships that we have made and to continue praying for each other. Please remember to pray for Our Lady Queen of Apostles family and know that they pray for us.
